Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Lalbagh Botanical Garden or simply Lalbagh, is an botanical garden in Bangalore, India, with an over 200-year history.

 

First planned and laid out during the dalavaiship of Hyder Ali, the garden was later managed under numerous British Superintendents before Indian Independence. It consists of a glass house as well as a wide lake. Nature lovers would enjoy this garden to the very core.

Cubbon Park, officially Sri Chamarajendra Park, is a landmark park in Bengaluru, located in the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. Originally created in 1870 under Major General Richard Sankey, then British Chief Engineer of Mysore State, it covered an area of 100 acres. This park provides Bengalureans with a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life right in the middle of the city. The park is home to the State Library housed in the Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall, a splendid red Gothic structure. The whole park is peppered with fountains, statues, flowering trees and lush greenery.

Bannerghatta National Park is a national park in India, located near Bangalore, Karnataka. It was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974. In 2002, a small portion of the park became a zoological garden, the Bannerghatta Biological Park

Mysore Palace, also known as Amba Vilas Palace, is a historical palace and a royal residence. It is located in Mysore, Karnataka, India. It used to be the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace is in the centre of Mysore. Intricately carved doors, the golden howdah (elephant seat), paintings as well as the fabulous, jewel encrusted golden throne (displayed during Dasara) are amongst the palace's other treasures.

Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall on the Mandovi River in the Indian state of Goa. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaum–Vasco Da Gama rail route.  It is also known as India's highest waterfalls which is approximately 310 meters high and 30 meters wide. This scenic spot is perfect for enjoying picnics and nature.

Fort Aguada is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort, along with a lighthouse, standing in Goa, India, on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea. It is an ASI protected Monument of National Importance in Goa.  It is said that so well built and fiercely armed was this fort that it never fell into enemy hands. It also boasts of a secret passage which was used in the times of war and emergency.

Fort St. George Museum

Fort St.George Museum was the first British fortress established in India. After the fort was threatened twice by the Muslim ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali, it was largely remodeled to become the centre of the British south Indian administration. This Fort is easily accessible by buses, taxis, two and three wheelers. The historical magnificence of this old museum is definitely worth visiting.

Tali Maha Shiva Kshetram

Tali Shiva Temple or Tali Mahakshetram is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva, situated in the heart of the Kozhikode city, Kerala. The temple was built in the 14th century by Zamorin of Calicut. Tali Kshetram is an ancient temple in the heart of Kozhikode town. The architectural design of this temple is an eye catcher for most tourists.

Kozhikode Beach or Calicut Beach is a beach on the western side of Kozhikode, situated on the Malabar Coast of India. The beach is accessible through four roads over bridges in the city. The beach has paved stones and illumination. The beach road was renamed 'Gandhi Road' in 1934 after Gandhi visited Calicut in 1934. This beach is the best spot to kick back and enjoy the sun and sea.
